Bimota's not inconsiderable reputation rests on its creation of some of the fastest and most exclusive sports bikes ever seen. Equipped with nothing less than the very best suspension and brakes, Bimotas were necessarily expensive but then, like George Brough, it was never the firm's intention to build anything compromised by budgetary restrictions. Announced at the Milan Show in 1993, the SB7 used a Bimota-modified version of the Suzuki GSX-R750SP engine and was intended to spearhead the Rimini firm's attack on the World Superbike Championship. Effectively a 'homologation special', the SB7 was priced accordingly - in the UK it cost around £20,000, as much as a Honda RC45 - and sold in limited numbers, only 200 being made. This SB7 was sold new by the UK concessionaires, Galleria Bimota, to Paul Martin of Loxwood, Billingshurst, Kent and first registered on 13th January 1995. A copy of Galleria Bimota's sales invoice for £20,683.83 is on file. 'M816 KPK' currently displays at total of circa 2,500 miles on the odometer and is described as in generally very good original condition. The machine is offered with brochure, service/warranty document, instruction book, sundry invoices, three expired MoTs (most recent September 2011), Swansea V5C registration document and a copy of the original V5.
