black canvas case with leather edging, nickel locks and catches and single leather handle, opening to reveal fitted interior containing leather-cased vacuum flask, large and small wicker-covered drinks bottles, another glass bottle, three food tins, ceramic tea-cups, nickel-plated tumblers and condiments jars, the ceramic plates and knives behind leather straps in the lid, the case 52cm wide.
