  • Scarce first edition of the laws of a late eighteenth-century 'subscription library'. No copies are cited by ESTC or Copac, although both list later editions of the Laws, for 1792 and 1793. There are 116 named subscribers, who each paid two shillings, including Henry Bunbury and Thomas Gage. The catalogue lists approximately 100 titles, including Burns' Poems, Johnson's Rasselas, and Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations.
