  • First edition of Jones' monumental work on the Alhambra, illustrated by magnificent chromolithographed plates. Inspired by a fervent interest in Muslim and Near Eastern art and architecture, Jones had undertaken a tour of the region, accompanied by the French architect Jules Goury, staying for six months at the Alhambra.
