Footnotes

  • A FINE COLLECTION OF ASSOCIATION COPIES, inscribed by Daphne du Maurier to her close friend Foy Quiller-Couch [see note to previous lot]. Included are first editions of her first two novels, and of her two most celebrated books, Rebecca and Jamaica Inn. The latter was inspired by the author's dramatic horse ride to Jamaica Inn, undertaken at night during a raging storm, in the company of Foy.
