Abraham Ortelius his Epitome of the Theatre of the Worlde], text in English, 112 engraved maps (Celestial Globe and Terrestrial Globe unnumbered, others 1-110), all printed on recto with text on verso, with dedication leaf to Mr. Richard Gargrave, lacking title and the "An Addition of Certaine Maps" section (excepting a few defective leaves), opening 2 leaves frayed at edges, occasional light dampstains (mostly to French maps), trace of worming in some margins within platemark, short tear to Savoy map, small ownership stamp "Lord Clifford, Ugbrooke Library" on dedication leaf, contemporary blindstamped calf, worn [Koeman III Ort 62; Phillips 3407; STC 18857], oblong 8vo (123 x 175mm.), [John Norton, c.1603]
