An album of approximately 230 images documenting hunting trips by J.P.K. (accompanied by Blanche in Japan and Africa) in North America, India (including a fine series from Assam of a Keddah), and Africa, as well as a trip to Hong Kong and Japan, gelatin silver prints except for a small group of platinums (India), mounted four out five to a leaf, images typically 95 x 120mm., limp morocco, very worn, oblong folio, 1901-1912

  • From a loosely inserted photograph it is clear that the compiler was named John, and fought in the Boer War. The chronology of the album appears to be: Wyoming, The Rockies and British Colombia 1900 (about 35 including two large images, one of J.P.K. with Wapiti trophies); Florida 1901 (15 including Tarpon, Devil Fish, Sawfish); Japan and Hong Kong 1902 (15); India 1902 (Benares 10, Agra (3) Jaipur (9 including Cheetah hunt); Garo Hills, Assam (46 mostly Keddah Camp); East Africa 1905 and 1912 (70 including good studies of Masai, early Nairobi); Barotseland 1906 (28 including natives and portraits of other big game hunters, including Selous).
