  • A very good copy of this work by a surgeon to the Queen's Hospital, Birmingham, describing the amputation carried out on Joseph Bramwell, a 37 year old former miner, and father of seven. The albumen prints depict the patient before and after the operation, and with two views of the removed tumour. See illustration overleaf.
