  • Although the photographer remains unidentified, the first view (of boats of the Pieho River, Tientsin, numbered 832) is attributed to the Afong studio. Other views include: 828, a view of the Haikwang Temple, Tientsin; 844 & 847, two views of Tien-Ning-Szu Pagoda between Tung-Chow and Peking, described as one of the "handsomest monuments"; 848, a view of South Gate, Peking; 849 & 850, two views of the Observatory, Peking, including the bronze celestial globe; 866, 867 & 868, three views of Peking streets, two described as a "Loo-mau-szu"; 869, a view of the Imperial Palace with the moat in the foreground; 901 & 902, views of The Spirit Road to the Ming Tombs; 911, a view inside The Great Hall of Yung-Lo's tomb and 917, a view of the Temple of Heaven.
