Translated Oute of the Frenche... by Thomas Nicolls, Citezeine and Goldesmyth of London, black letter, title within elaborate woodcut border incorporating royal arms and ER (for Edward VI), lacking the next leaf (A2), name cut from top of title just shaving the ornament, first half of the book with minor worming in the wide margins, near contemporary signature of Henry Dingley at end, bookplate of Walter Bagot (probably the cleric and landowner, 1731-1806), inserted cuttings, including a note in Graham Pollard's hand, contemporary London binding of blind stamped calf over pasteboard [Oldham's rolls HM.a.6 & MW.d.12], fifteenth-century manuscript sewing guards, with musical notation, some wear, head of spine defective [STC 24056], folio, [William Tylle] for S. Mierdman, 1550
