Autograph letter signed ("J Ruskin"), to "My Dear Madam", giving advice on the art education of her daughter: "I have not been able to make any rounds in the London schools sine my illness in 1878, – but I believe that the system at Kensington is better than it used to be, and that also the Slade school under Mr Le Gros sends out good pupils. But if you will send me a scrap if your daughter's work, I can perhaps tell you if it would be well to enter her at either of these schools at present – or if she can yet carry on practice at home", 2 pages, engraved heading, light dust-staining and creasing, 8vo, Brantwood, 14 September 1881
