Three attractive small jade figural groups
18th century
Comprising: an unusual black and white group cleverly carved from a black-skinned cream jade pebble as a bear at one end attacking the lion head of a lion costume supported by two small boys, its tail also from the black skin, wood stand, fitted box, 6cm (2½in) wide; a fine flattened white jade pierced pebble depicting a man with a basket of lingzhi on a pine-trunk raft with an elderly sage rowing at the front, wood stand, 6.5cm (2 5/8in) wide; and a white jade group of a boy astride a wheeled hobby-horse, a spray of lingzhi across his shoulders, wood stand, 4.5cm (1¾in) high, two boxes.
