A rhinoceros horn libaton cup
17th/18th century
Of flaring form, carved with a sinuous adult and two young chilong clambering over the side and onto the rim forming the handle, the sides carved around the exterior with taotie masks reserved on leiwen on ground, with a key-fret border around the interior and exterior of the rim, the horn of chocolate-brown tone, wood stand.
14cm (5¼in) long (2).
