A good and rare mid 19th century French brass carriage alarm clock with subsidiary seconds indication, in the original travelling case
Surmounted by a turned handle over bevelled glazed panels and a shuttered rear panel, the rectangular silvered Roman dial with subsidiary seconds at XII and alarm-setting dial at VI, the movement with lever platform escapement striking the hours and sounding the alarm on a bell, presented in the original travelling case with central brass handle and twin side buckles, with velvet lined interior. 18.5cms (7.25ins) high.
