Claude Galle and Lesuier
The white annular minute and hour dials mounted in an arched plinth with an applied bow and arrows, torchere, laurel wreath and articulated festoon concealing the winding holes, hand setting and regulation arbors, standing beside the plinth a partially draped female holding a wreath, raised on a stepped rectangular ormolu and verdi antico marble base with stiff leaf mouldings and applied figures supporting the legend 'Oubli du tems' on winged mask and toupie feet, the drum movement with silk suspension and outside countwheel strike on bell, struck with initials 'LS' to the backplate and numbered L:260 49cm (19.25in) high.
