A late 19th century French porcelain mounted ormolu cercle tournant clock
Formed as a blue porcelain urn with applied ormolu fawn mask handles over the applied snake, raised on a square pedestal base with inset Sevres style porcelain panels, the foremost enriched with a putto, the remaining three with floral studies within gilt scroll borders on a cobalt blue ground, the annular Arabic minute and Roman hour dials with enamel plaques each mounted in an engraved gilt band, the twin train spring barrel movement with recoil escapement striking the hour and half hour on a bell, the back plate stamped 'G.D' 43cm (17in) high.
