Standing on a plain dome base in a flexed pose with her right hand extended offering a bud and her left to the side proving balance, modeleed with full rounded limbs and narrow waist, her well-defined face with blank almond eyes. 21 1/2in (54.6 cm) high

Footnotes

  • In East Indian bronzes of the 19th century, the much-loved god Krishna appears often along with Radha. Their figures are full and stylized and usually positioned in a characteristic pose, with Krishna playing his flute and Radha holding flowers or a bud.
