A famille rose enameled porcelain figural bowl
Daoguang mark, Republic period
The dense fabric molded with a flared rim to the deep curving walls painted to one side with Lu Xun, one of the heroes of the Sanguo zhi, goading his horse as he follows the directions given by a bearded sage standing before him, the illustration reversed by a long inscription in black enamel and the recessed base bearing the six-character mark in iron-red seal script.
