A blue and white porcelain bowl with famille rose enameled lotus decoration
Guangxu mark and period
Its flared rim carefully molded with a raised ridge around the exterior walls painted in famille rose enamels with sgraffito accents on the lotus plants rising from waves while the wide, curving well displays a lotus flower and leaf scroll band around a central roundel of lotus leaves and lotus pod rendered in shades of underglaze cobalt, the recessed base displaying the six-character mark in underglaze blue regular script.
