A famille verte enameled porcelain bowl with figural decoration

Its wide, canted rim flange painted to both sides with differing flower and leaf scroll bands while a pitched battle between two horsemen takes place on the exterior walls before the watching eyes of a general and two imperial officials in a military encampment, the decoration achieved in richly hued enamels with gilt highlights and the deeply recessed base centered with a double ring drawn in underglaze blue.
