A blue and white porcelain cylndrical brush pot, bitong
Transitional period
Painted in lines and washes of rich cobalt blue with a scholar standing under a willow tree amid garden rocks and other vegetation while his horse grazes nearby, the continuous scene bordered by linear bands incised to the biscuit beneath a celadon-tinged glaze covering the interior and exterior walls, stopping neatly along the outer edge of the unglazed and slightly concave base.
