Of rectangular section and archaistic hu form, molded with a squared rim overhanging mock animal head and ring handles in raised relief to the neck above swelling walls supported on a tall foot, the pale blue glaze of Jun type applied over the dark brown Yixing fabric visible on the foot, the glaze also covering the recessed base stamped with a maker's mark reading Wu Deshen zhi.
