A ritual bronze wine vessel, jue
Shang dynasty, Anyang III style
With a long pouring spout (liu) bracketed by a pair of small handles crowned by zhu buttons and raised on three blade-form supports, the sides cast with a band of two taotie masks, all flush to the surface except for the eyes and centered on a flange or C-scroll handle, with malachite encrustation and mottled patina.
