A group of four small jade carvings
The first a pale greenish-white reticulated circular pendant, finished on both sides as crossed scepters separating with the characters ji and xiang surrounded by facing dragons and leaf scrolls; the second a thinly sectioned rectangular pendant carved to both sides with a bird hovering on the lacy branches of a prunus tree, the translucent creamy white matrix showing patches of very faint russet hue; the third a pale olive green toggle deeply undercut as three peaches hanging from a leafy branch with drill hole for suspension, the smoothly polished surfaces stained with golden-brown patches; the fourth a toggle deeply undercut as a water caltrop plant with undercut stem forming the suspension loop, the subtly polished surfaces and natural fissures of the pale greenish-white matrix marked with dark russet staining.
