A Canton enamel and gilt-copper European-subject baluster vase

The pear form body raised on a splayed foot and surmounted by a flared neck flanked with scrolled handles in violet and puce hues, the main body with two polychrome cartouches framed by acanthus leaf-style chased and gilt borders and containing a pastoral scene of a man sitting on a river bank and holding a fishing pole beneath a canopy of a leafy tree, the vase having chased and gilt C-scrolls throughout interspersed with polychrome floral sprays, the shoulder with a purple lingzhi head band below a key-fret and foliate band on a blue reserve, the neck with stiff plantain leaf border in green with repetitive leaves and lappets below the mouth in pink and green hues, the foot with twisted rope and blossom band above a conforming plaintain leaf border, the underside and interior with turquoise enamel.
