The tall cylindrical neck having worn decoration of a crescent moon, sun and clouds above lappets of elongated stiff plantain leaves and a band of lingzhi heads on a leiwen ground, the mouth flanked by cylindrical appendages with a continuous band of incised zoomorphic decoration joined to the tortoise-form base with a lotus pad atop the shell, gilt highlights framing the shell segments and pierced with an opening beneath the animals head.
