Two cast bronze Daoist divinities
Late Ming dynasty
The first of Daoist emperor figure seated in elaborate tiered robes and with his hands clasped together in front of his chest, the bearded face with traces of gilt and framed by an imperial headdress; the second of Zhenwu seated in armor partially hidden by long brocade-patterned robes adorned with a large dragon to the front, his bearded face with a benign expression and a simple coiffure of long tresses extending down his back, with traces of original gilding.
