A Manchu noblewoman's summer gauze surcoat with counted stitch embroidery
Late Qing dynasty
The black gauze ground with center front opening and tall collar embroidered to the front and back with two front-facing dragon roundels while the shoulders each display a side-facing dragon roundel worked in a combination of gilt-wrapped and polychrome counted stitches.
