A Manchu noblewoman's black silk ground embroidered surcoat, longgua
19th century
Displaying eight large roundels above a tall lishui border, each roundel featuring a five-clawed dragon and shou medallion in gilt-couched threads surrounded by brightly hued clouds, bats and auspicious symbols that repeat on smaller-scale roundels above a lishui border along the sleeve ends; later embroidered silk collar and neck band.
