Two Walt Disney Studios celluloids from Pocahontas
1995, gouache on celluloid, the first depicts Nakoma pulling the flap to the longhouse where the injured Native American Namontack has been taken; this is a three cel set-up, one of which is a production underlay, the other two are post-production cels applied to a watercolor production background, Walt Disney seal lower right. The second depicts Thomas watching John Smith with admiration, applied to a watercolor production background; this is a two cel set-up, one of which is a production underlay, the others are post production. Walt Disney Company Stamp lower right, matted and framed.
