1941, signed lower right Leon Schlesinger, 1943; gouache on celluloid, from the Merrie Melodies series, the multi-cel set-up depicts Elmer Fudd dressed as Hiawatha setting the fire under the cauldron that Bugs Bunny is bathing in, applied to an original watercolor production background, paint chips on Bugs Bunny's ears and face, Hiawatha's feather, and on the water, matted. "Hiawatha's Rabbit Hunt" was nominated for an Academy Award® for Best Short Subject (Cartoons).
