A Grateful Dead/Jefferson Airplane "Sore Thumb" Poster
Designed by Alton Kelley for their March 15-17, 1968 concerts at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco. The Carousel Ballroom was a short-lived venue started in 1967 by the Dead and Jefferson Airplane, along with other Bay Area bands. Later in 1968, Bill Graham took over the venue and it became known as the Fillmore West.
