A copy of John Lennon's In His Own Write inscribed to Walter Shenson
London: Jonathan Cape, 1964. Hardcover without dust jacket, as issued. Inscribed on the front free endpaper, "To Good / Old Walter / from / good old / John / Lennon / x." The book's frontispiece has been additionally illustrated in red marker, allegedly by Lennon. This volume was likely given to Shenson, the producer of A Hard Day's Night (1964) and Help! (1965), soon after its publication in March, 1964, while the band was filming A Hard Day's Night in the UK.
