An Edith Head Studios Barbara Nichols costume sketch
Pencil and watercolor on stiff paper, depicting Nicholas in a purple dress with a lace bodice and a flowing skirt. Inscribed by Head, "Barbara Nichols / #5 / pg. (75-83) / Int. in house at bar" and "Slev. to / hang lose," with additional notes from her on the verso. Believed to be a design for That Kind of Woman (Paramount, 1959), for which Head was the costume designer.
