A Ben-Hur continuity script
MGM, 1959. Typescript, approximately 500 pages, with extensive handwritten continuity notes, some in shorthand, including shooting dates, camera angles, and notes on individual takes. Together with a 2 1/2 x 2 1/4 in. photograph of the "galley slave" scene. The filming of Ben-Hur was legendarily long and arduous, with the chariot race scene alone taking five weeks to shoot.
