Hedda Hopper's personal scrapbook
Dated 1950, including press clippings and advertisements mentioning her, as well as personal photographs and letters. Also included is a 1923 signed promissory note for $1000 to Louis B. Mayer Studios Inc., together with a note from a studio cashier, writing "This is for your files, / as a remembrance of other days." Hopper began her career as a silent film actress in 1915, before she gained widespread fame as a gossip columnist in the late 1930s.
