A group of Orson Welles correspondence
A group of Orson Welles correspondence
Two typed letters signed and one illustrated Christmas card, both addressed to "Kendis." One letter, illustrated with a surly-looking self-portrait, reads "Forgive a telephobe for a rudely cut exchange on that dreaded machine and blame the bug for it. The fever's down this afternoon and I should be my own angelic self again any second now." The other letter contains a lengthy description of arrangements for a Q&A session at a college, and the Christmas card bears a watercolor and ink self-portrait of Welles as Santa Claus and is signed "from Orson."
