Paramount, 1955. Mimeographed manuscript, 156 pages, dated October 12, 1954, marked "Final white," with "Ray" in pencil to upper cover, annotated throughout by a member of the film crew. The Rose Tattoo was adapted by Hal Kanter from Tennessee Williams' play first produced on stage in 1951. This copy of the screenplay apparently belonged to one of the members of the sound or music team: notations throughout indicate music cues, including singing and player piano effects.
