Drawn on an account at California Bank in Hollywood, dated December 23, 1937, and made out to her brother John West Jr. in the amount of $100. "Salary WE 12/23" is noted in the description. West often supported her younger brother, finding him employment at the studios in the early 1930s and buying a ranch with him in 1937.
