Pencil on paper, signed and dated, "Grace Talbert 1933." Joyce was a stage actress of the 1910s and '20s, but was perhaps better known for her scandalous personal life. She was married six times and was rumored to have had additional romances with Charlie Chaplin and Irving Thalberg, among others. She also once owned the Portuguese Diamond, now part of the Smithsonian's collection.
