centering an antique Indian ornament set with foil-backed diamonds, green beryls and emeralds, and freshwater pearls, reverse with polychrome enamel, completed by a double strand of snake link chain, convertible to brooch; central ornament signed Cartier Paris, no. 12573, with Cartier maker's mark, chain with French maker's mark, both with French assay marks; mounted in eighteen karat gold and high karat gold; length of brooch: 3 1/4in.; length of necklace: 14 7/8in. (pearls not tested for origin)
