Pink Sapphire Rough and Cut
Sri Lanka
This is a classic pairing from Ceylon, yet a rare one. Rough crystals of natural pink sapphire are infrequently seen on the market. The present doubly-terminated one has a strong saturation of pink and very good transparency, weighing 21.0 carats, height 2.4cm; the oval-cut faceted pink sapphire, weighing approximately 1.79 carats, is a well-saturated, true pink, and is mountable either in jewelry or retained as is to be admired for its color, measuring 9.0 x 5.0 x 3.0mm (2)
