Reverse Intaglio Quartz Carving on Fluorite Base
Carved by an expert Chinese lapidary, using a natural quartz crystal point, carved from the reverse side to depict a Guan Yin seated upon a lion with two children, the face of the crystal polished mirror bright to reveal the scene within, the natural striated crystal surfaces visible on the reverse side. The carving rests upon the Chinese green fluorite removable base, showing green growth banding and a druzy surface to the front. Raised on a black stone base. Height 16in
