Most likely carved by a South American artist in the 1980s or 1990s, fine quality, bright bluish-green Peruvian chrysocolla has been used in this carving of a kingfisher bird. He grasps a lapis lazuli fish in his jasper beak as he perches upon a removable base made of botryoidal druzy quartz, on a basalt slab. Height 8in
