Large Agate Bowl
By Gunther Bohrer
Idar-Oberstein, Germany
Carved of fine quality, translucent Brazilian brown-and-white banded agate, this free-form bowl was created by the premier bowl maker of Idar-Oberstein, Gunther Bohrer. Following the natural contours of the original agate boulder, with undulating lip, and distinct brown and white patterning, raised on a small foot. Such large agate bowls are now rare to find and the craft of carving them has been nearly lost. Measures 10 x 10 x 6 in
