Carved Nephrite Frog on White Chalcedony Base

Created in the 1960s, most likely using Siberian nephrite, the form of this carving of a frog harkens back to cane handles produced by Fabergé or sealing wax stamps. The eyes are set with small brilliant-cut diamonds rimmed in gold.
