Discovered in 1857, American freshwater pearls from the bi-valve mussel family, are now terribly rare due to over fishing and pollution. The present button-shaped, freshwater pearl displays excellent symmetry, gemmy luster, beautiful pink overtones and a luminescent soft white natural color characteristic of pearls from this sought-after region, undrilled.
Weighing approximately 3.55 carats and measuring 8.0 x 7.5mm
