  • Nicholai Diulgheroff, Bulgarian by birth, was educated at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria, the Bauhaus in Weimar, and after 1926, studied architecture in Turin at the Accademia Albertina. He brought a constructivist mentality to the Italian futurists, and combined the two ideologies to create his most notable works in the 1930s. The offered lot was produced by Torrido Mazzotti, Italy's most important Futurist ceramic manufacturer in the 1930s.
