A fine and rare Renaissance revival enameled gold and rock crystal miniature nef containing a watch
apparently unmarked, probably Austrian or German, last quarter 19th century
In the form of a three masted ship with rock crystal hull, the two man crew setting sail, supported by an enameled gold dragon perched on a baluster base enhanced with bands of enameled wirework, the plates of the double dialed watch bearing a spurious signature, Losia Jolly à Paris, conforming to the outline of the hull, with cylinder escapement and going barrel. 16cm (6 ¼ in) high
