The Honourable East India Company's Iron War Steamer, The Ship Nemesis. Scudding before a Heavy Gale off the Cape of Good Hope on Her Passage from England to China. London: Colnaghi & Puckle, 1841.
Hand-colored aquatint engraving, 340 x 525 mm, matted, toned, some soiling, light creases and brief closed tears to margins.

A dramatic view of the first iron steam vessel to pass the Cape of Good Hope. The Nemesis was used successfully in the First Opium War, and was instrumental in the capture of Canton.
